The Netherlands Veterinary Medicines Institute (SDa) is an independent agency established in 2010 to promote responsible drug use in Dutch animal husbandries in general and especially usage of antibiotics.
SDa publishes 2025 report on antibiotic use
The SDa has published its report Usage of Antibiotics in Livestock in the Netherlands in 2025. The report describes trends in antibiotic use across Dutch livestock sectors and includes benchmarking information for livestock farmers and veterinarians.
The publication is intended to support responsible antibiotic use and provide insight into developments in antibiotic use in the Dutch livestock sector. The report includes the SDa board’s cover letter and an appendix with additional information.
